Atlanta's favorite running and walking destination and Atlanta's historic running and walking organization are teaming up to bring races back to the BeltLine. Atlanta BeltLine Partnership and Atlanta Track Club will expand their partnership in 2022 to include a series of events on the BeltLine's most popular sections. The second stop of the series takes us to the Westside. Test your speed in the competitive 8K (ages 9 & older) or stick to the non-competitive 5K (ages 8 & older) where strollers and dogs are welcome.

T-shirt sizing and availability cannot be guaranteed for those registering on race day.

Atlanta Track Club intends to hold the Westside BeltLine 5K-8K as scheduled on July 16, 2022. If the format of the event moves to virtual ONLY or is cancelled all together, you will be given the option to receive a full refund (less processing fees from registration vendor). If, due to COVD-19, the location of the event has to be changed, refunds will not be provided, but you will be immediately notified via email and social media.

TIMING & RESULTS

Both the competitive 8K distance and non-competitive 5K distance will be timed. Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

COURSE

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)
  • 8K: 1 hour and 30 minutes (18 minute per mile pace)

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, dogs and baby joggers/strollers are permitted on the non-competitive 5K course ONLY. Headphones are strongly discouraged.

NUMBER PICKUP

Race number pickup will be available on race morning beginning at 6:00 a.m.

PARKING

There will be free on-site parking available at Lee + White, 1020 White St SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. Free street parking will also be available in the neighborhood surrounding Lee + White for any overflow. Please plan to arrive by 7:00 a.m.

If you are able, we strongly recommend you walk, cycle, rideshare or take MARTA:

  • Take MARTA to West End Station, then walk or bike 0.8 miles to Lee + White.
  • Grab a bike or scooter and take the BeltLine to Lee + White.
  • Hop in a Lyft or Uber, or join friends for a good old fashioned carpool.


AWARDS- 8K ONLY

Overall awards are based on gun time and overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are based on net time. Awards will only be given for the 8K race.

  • 8K Overall male, female and non-binary
  • 8K Masters male, female and non-binary
  • 8K Age Group Awards for the top three males, females and non-binary in each age group (9-14, 15-19, five-year increments up to 90+)

VIRTUAL RUNNERS

Those selecting the Westside BeltLine 8K or 5K race option will receive their bib and shirt via UPS.

Virtual participants will complete and submit their race between Friday, July 15, 2022 and Monday, July 18, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Virtual participants must submit their results online. The results submission link will not become live until Friday, June 15, 2022.

STROLLERS AND DOGS

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, dogs and baby joggers/strollers are only permitted on the non-competitive 5K course. Dogs and baby joggers/strollers will NOT be permitted on the competitive 8K course.
